Blogger is a hosted blogging platform from Google. anyone who has google account can start a blog on blogger. it is free and simple. when compared to other platforms like WordPress, blogger lacks some features. even though you can start a blog without spending a penny. It is enough for who don't want a complicated process and pay for it.

Compared to WordPress blog, you can start a blogger within 3 steps. You only need a google account.

Creating a Blog :-

Go to Blogger.com and Sign up with google account.

Create a Blogger Profile

Create a Blog by clicking the "Create New Blog" button on blogger dashboard.

Choose a Title, Blog address and theme. We can change these later. Blog address is a public URL look like yourblog.blogspot.com. also you can change and customise your theme later.

Click on the Launch button to complete the creation process. You'll prompt to buy a domain name. If you don't want, close that prompt.

You can visit your blog by clicking on View blog in the side panel.

Dashboard :-

Posts

Here you can create and manage your blog posts. you can create a blog post in a word processor like an editor. Click on create button to create your first post.

Stats

You can view your blog stats here. Total page views, daily or monthly. You can know which post perform well etc..

Comments

You can view and manage comments here. You can reply to them without going to your blog from here.

Earnings

This option only enables when you reach specific requirements of AdSense. You can connect your blog with AdSense and earn money through it.

Pages

Create core pages that every website should have like About page, Privacy Policy and Contact. The page editor is the same as the post editor.

Layout

You can do add widgets, change favicon and extra setups. Some custom templates gives more features here.

Theme

Change your entire blog theme or customize themes colours and fonts. You can do these things here.

Settings

Here you can edit advanced options like title, URL and more. Here you can see so many options. But you need carefully edit these settings. Some of them affect your site traffic.
